• Statistical Inference: based on the likelihood (1996, Chapman & Hall). An errata-corrige (update Nov.2011) is available; I am grateful to Sytse Knypstra who has kindly pointed out to me several of these amendments.
• Applied Smoothing Techniques written jointly with A.W.Bowman. A suite of S-Plus functions and scripts known as the sm library is also freely available in conjunction with the book.
• Data Analysis and Data Mining: an Introduction joint work with Bruno Scarpa (Oxford University Press, 2012).

• rm.tools, a S-plus library for the analysis of repeated measurements and longitudinal data, joint work with Monica Chiogna; it is available from StatLib and from here.

Vintage material:

• A note on the estimation of a distribution function and quantiles by a kernel method (1981) presented a set of results without including proofs, stating that "Further details are available from the author". Current technology allows to have the full original paper readily from here.
• The paper A look at some data on the Old Faithful geyser (1990) presented data of which different versions have circulated. It may then be of interest to make available the unquestionable version represented by the 1985 original records of the park rangers. These records should match the content of this CSV file; in case of any discrepancy, please let me know.
